Social media is a big part of business today. Most companies have a Facebook page for their business, or even a business solely built from Facebook. We all know the value of social media for business, but it can be quite time-consuming to sit down every day and create a good Facebook post. Here are some strategies to help you make better posts in less time-
What is a Facebook Posting Strategy
Essentially, a Facebook posting strategy is just that – a strategy for when and what to post on Facebook. More specifically, it is a plan. Each week, there are certain types of messages you can post on Facebook. The frequency of posting is determined by how large and active your audience is, but you can figure this out as you go based on what kind of responses your posts are receiving. In general, each post will be seen by about 10% of your audience.
The strategy is to figure out your key messaging about your brand, your company, and your industry with 3 or 4 get-to-know-and-like-and-trust-you type posts to one sales-type post.
Why You Need One
A strategy will help save you time and help you always know what to post. If you have a list of four topics you share about then a sales post, you can easily write posts as you go. Additionally, this will provide consistency and value for your audience.
How to Develop Your Own Posting Strategy
One of the unique features Facebook has is to allow you to schedule posts in advance. We use a Google Sheet spreadsheet to write content each month following the posting topic theme. We then have the same standard 10-25 images in Canva that are duplicated and edited each month. This saves time and creates consistent messaging and branding. A win-win for all!
On the Table
A Facebook Posting strategy will save you time and help you produce better content for your audience. With Facebook schedulers and digital tools such as an online spreadsheet, this process is possible for everyone.
